Continuation of a success story

Already in 2005, HBB opened a modern shopping center, which expanded the city center of Lehrte (close to Hanover) to now also include the site of the former sugar refinery. This shopping center was part of an urban project conducted in cooperation with Nordzucker AG. The abandoned industrial site with a total area of almost 200,000 sqm was revitalized in a sensitive and comprehensive manner. In this context, the municipal park of Lehrte was also expanded to an area of almost 8,000 sqm.

Harmonious addition

HBB is currently planning to build a DIY store on the plot right next to the municipal park. The DIY store will be run by tenant Obi who will fill this gap in the market. This location right on Germaniastraße is not only easy to reach, as it is located within the central supply area, but it also fits in well with its surroundings. The DIY store in the business park will be built on a plot measuring about 30,000 sqm and it will have rental space of approx. 9,000 sqm. The DIY store’s own 250 parking spaces will ensure short walking distances and safe transport of all purchases made at the store – after it is opened for business in 2012.
