Kehl City Center
City Center Kehl
In August 2006 Kehl city council approved the construction of a new shopping centre. HBB is now in the planning phase for the City Center on a 15,000-m² site with a direct link to the downtown area.
The municipality of Kehl and the investor believe that the project, the details of which were decided in close cooperation with the city council, will reinforce the role of this town on the French-German border as a regional hub over the long term.
Future customers of the shopping mall will have an exciting range of stores to choose from. The well-known anchor tenants EDEKA, Expert and C&A will be joined by branches of other big retailers and a number of regional businesses as well.
A number of eateries and a gym underneath the glass rotunda in the middle of the centre will provide additional motivation to visit the City-Center.
The well-known regional architecture firm Werkgruppe Lahr was commissioned with the design of the building.
