Business center Oelde
Important economic boost for downtown area
The town with a population of about 30,000 in the Eastern Westphalian district of Warendorf needed an attractive addition to and an upgrade of its downtown area. For years, the department store on the southern end of the Oelde pedestrian zone was empty. With the help of HBB, the area is now becoming a clear signal of further development: a new business center with two buildings will be built. The complex consists of a commercial building with tenants, such as C&A, Rossmann, and Ernstings Family, as well as a local supplier of the company Netto, directly on the local through road, Konrad-Adenauer-Allee.
Attractive completion of pedestrian zone
The two-story building on Vicarieplatz, the southern end of the pedestrian zone, is characterized by an alternation of plastering, clinker brick, and glass façade parts. The planned gastronomic use of the vestibule ensures additional enlivenment of the downtown area. Overall, about 4,000 m² in rental area will be built on the property of about 3,500 m², of which about 3,000 m² are planned for the commercial building and about 1,000 m² of rental area are planned for the local supplier. In lieu of an existing, small parking garage in need of rehabilitation, HBB will additionally build approx. 70 public parking spaces at ground level.
The opening is planned for spring 2013, the demolition will take place in a few months.
