Hanau DOMICIL long-term care facility Am Schlossgarten
DOMICIL’s long-term care facility Am Schlossgarten in Hanau
A city in flux
The city of the Brothers Grimm, Hanau, is becoming home to one of several long-term care facilities that HBB is currently building in Central Germany. We have once again placed great value on selecting the right location: DOMICIL’s long-term care facility Am Schloßgarten is located in a very popular neighborhood directly next to the beautiful Schlossgarten. The city’s pedestrian zone with its numerous shops is just around the corner.
In harmony with the neighborhood
The groundbreaking ceremony was in January 2010, and we were able to celebrate topping out of the building already in September. And what is being created now on a former brownfield site is a premium new building with state-of-the-art equipment and furniture that is tailored to the needs of the elderly, and yet blends in well with the turn of the century architecture in this neighborhood. A spacious garden with a fountain, an exclusive party room and an in-house care unit for patients suffering from dementia are just another few of the project’s amenities. And here, too, energy efficiency is a main issue: the building with its own block heating station fulfills the strict requirements of KfW standard 70. The nursing home will accommodate 163 residents on 9,630 m2 in gross floor space and will create 80 new jobs in this region. Showrooms can be viewed as of November 2010.
The investment volume is Euro 20 million. The building will be completed in June 2011.
