Our second building of this type in the Metropolis of Hamburg
The suburb of Jenfeld will be home to the second senior citizen residence in Hamburg that HBB is building for operator DOMICIL. The facility’s proximity to Öjendorfer Lake and its park will provide recreational and activity opportunities in the countryside. The center of Jenfeld with its numerous shopping opportunities is just around the corner, and downtown Hamburg can be easily reached by public transport.
A modern building that will satisfy even the highest demands
The contemporary clinker brick architecture with its split-faced blocks, which is so typical of northern Germany, in combination with high-quality facing bricks from this region lends the building its modern yet traditional appearance. It will accommodate 164 spacious rooms for 188 residents on approx. 10,000 m2 in gross floor space and will feature state-of-the-art equipment and furniture that is tailored to the needs of the elderly. The facility’s own garden is uncommonly spacious and provides plenty of room for meeting people and for relaxing. Even the area where people suffering from dementia are cared for has its own garden area. The new nursing home will create more than 80 jobs in Hamburg.
The investment volume is Euro 20 million. The nursing facility will be opened in March 2011.
