DOMICIL`s long-term care facility in Niederursel Frankfurt

Popular residential building in Frankfurt/Main

The building permit issued in October 2010 was the now 26th building permit granted for a DOMICIL-run long-term care facility – and the second one to be granted in Frankfurt/Main. More than 32,000 people live in the catchment area of the suburbs of Niederursel and Heddernheim – but what was missing so far was a residential care facility for the elderly. The site is located in the popular residential area at Hammarskjöldring, close to the Nordwestzentrum (North-West-Center) and Martin-Luther -King-Park. The home will be able to accommodate a total of 139 elderly people on a gross floor area of approx. 8,500 m2.

Integrated shop for your daily needs

The Berlin-based architectural firm Broll Förster has designed a modern building with its own underground garage. Part of the façade will consist of clinker bricks. All of the spacious rooms come with their own bathroom and offer state-of-the-art security and emergency call systems. On the ground floor there is a party room that can also be used by the neighborhood and a small, approx. 500 m2 large strip mall that is planned to accommodate a bakery shop, pharmacy etc. This will not just help meet the daily needs, but it will also turn the nursing home into a small suburban center – “In the midst of life.”

HBB is investing about Euro 18 million in this project. Construction is expected to start in the second half of 2011.
