In 2026, HBB plans to complete 150 nursing places in Völklingen, Saarland. Construction work has now begun.

The HBB has started building a retirement home in Völklingen. The 7.245 square meter plot of land belonging to a former clinic on Kühleweinstrasse is available for this purpose. The HBB acquired the site from the Cusanus Trägergesellschaft Trier, a church-run company. Cusanus had the former St. Michael hospital demolished there in 2018.
The HBB wants to create 130 single and ten double rooms in a three-story building. Schneider Bau from Merxheim was commissioned as the general contractor. The building is scheduled to be completed in 2026. The operator will be the Domicil group of companies, which is closely associated with HBB. Bayern LB is financing the project. This is the third senior citizen property from the HBB in Saarland and the 51st nationwide.
