Opening of the Stadthof Hanau
The new STADTHOF HANAU has opened its doors! At the official opening on Thursday morning, Mayor Claus Kaminsky symbolically received the key to the Kaufhof opening in 1957.
Two years after the last day of sales at GALERIA, the building is once again a vibrant place – with a radiant impact on the entire surrounding area.
The city of Hanau has once again demonstrated how cities should act: not wait until it is too late, but act proactively and decisively.
On the ground floor, 2.000 unique tenants have found their place in individually designed "blocks" on almost 20 square meters – in keeping with the overall concept. There's also an "agora" for events.
On the upper floors, next to the Brothers Grimm Vocational Academy, an impressive exhibition as well as a variety of entertainment and leisure activities will be created.
The reuse of vacant department stores is a key challenge for many cities, with far-reaching implications for the overall development of inner-city areas. This makes innovative concepts that quickly breathe new life into such buildings all the more important.
We are delighted to have been able to be part of this great team through consulting, setting up ongoing operations and leasing.
Working with everyone involved was not only exciting but also a lot of fun. Everyone contributed to the success with passion and creative ideas.
The result speaks for itself!
