An action that changes lives: Playground construction in Cameroon, Yaoundé

In April, 8 PATRIZIA employees were in Cameroon to build a playground for preschool children. The playground is finished - with lots of free play elements, swings, slides, a climbing frame and plenty of space for baking sand cakes in the Cameroonian sun. The facility will provide over 350 preschool children a safe space to develop social and motor skills each year. The Cameroonian school system does not include these elements in its curriculum and leaves little time for creativity and dreams. The PATRIZIA Foundation's goal is to provide high-quality education worldwide that is more than just reading and writing - and this playground is a big step in the right direction and a plea for a child-friendly approach to school education. Hopefully other schools in the area will follow suit.
