Our properties are excellent

Economic and living spaces at their best

We have received awards and prizes for many of our properties. For example, for outstanding architecture. We work with first-class architects and we attach great importance to the smallest details.

Whether shopping centers or senior care homes: Our architectural concepts take up the special features of the surrounding cityscape and combine old with new, playful with clear, beautiful with unique. In this way, we do not create any disruptive factors in the cityscape, but instead fill old vacant lots or waste areas with architectural gems.

In 2020, we were honored to receive the Real Estate Manager Award in the “Best Existing Project Development” category for our inner-city Forum Schwanthalerhöhe shopping center in Munich. Following the motto: From ugly duckling to beautiful swan, HBB has invested great effort in transforming an outdated furniture store into a lively neighborhood center. An attractive shopping center has been created from the run-down and partially neglected property with downright scary spaces.

We are particularly challenged in the area of our senior housing, because after all, people live here who call our properties their home. It is therefore important to us to use warm materials, bright colors and pleasant contrasts. In addition, we have winter gardens, light-flooded atriums and great gardens for an all-round feeling of well-being. We also pay a lot of attention to quality: The use of the best materials secures the value of the properties and also increases comfort: Whether Italian tiles in the bathrooms, roof terraces covered with Bangkirai or the use of ultra-modern emergency call and security systems in the care rooms - HBB delivers quality at a high level.

Each of our houses fits harmoniously into its surroundings. In Heide and Lüneburg, for example, we have built retirement homes whose clinker brick architecture with numerous gables and dormers is closely modeled on the historic old towns. We have integrated Wilhelminian style elements into the historicizing facades of several Berlin properties. We received the district's builder's award for our modern architecture that follows the surrounding architectural style and uses materials such as steel, glass and wood in Berlin-Reinickendorf.
