Innovation instead of lockdown: Visit from Hubert Aiwanger
Munich. Economics Minister Aiwanger is presenting new technology in a self-experiment in Munich's most modern shopping center, FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE, and, in view of hygiene and technical progress, is firmly in favor of a positive assessment of the security situation and the opening of retail stores.
Two cameras are aimed directly at the east entrance of the FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE, through which Aiwanger (Free Voters) enters the center. A yellow-red thermal image of him appears on the test screen a few meters away, with a temperature of 36,8 degrees lit up in green on his forehead. In addition, a message on the right of the screen gives the all-clear after the facial scan. No fever and properly worn mask, the system of the two cameras is satisfied with the minister and he is allowed to enter.
The minister is using the widely acclaimed demonstration of this new, AI-enabled camera and software system "Parsifal" by the Munich-based company G2K to make his plea for the opening of retail stores to depend not only on circumstantial evidence, but also on holistic security concepts. "The use of modern technology can reduce the risk of corona in crowds," said Aiwanger.
During a tour of the FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE, which opened in 2019, Lars Sammann, the responsible center manager at HBB, had already explained the comprehensive security concept of the well-kept, fresh center to the Minister of Economic Affairs. G2K is of course a partner of the camera systems, and an intelligent counting system also records every visitor and alerts them to occupancy limits that can be individually adjusted depending on legal requirements. Disinfectant dispensers, route guidance, illuminated columns and multimedia screens - everywhere it is clear what behavior is indicated. In addition, the in-house security service continuously patrols the mall and, in addition to technology, offers effective, final "human control" directly on site.
Lars Sammann, Minister Aiwanger and G2K are confident that with the necessary will and investment from the owners, they can offer maximum security in retail and shopping centers.
The HBB FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE was already awarded the Innovation Prize for project development in existing buildings in 2020. Harald Ortner, Managing Director of HBB, is convinced that innovation must also be taken further into account in real estate today. The pandemic has shown once again that development is not complete when the construction phase is completed, but that agility is also required in operations and management for new challenges and new paths.
Innovation instead of lockdown. It is possible.
To the FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE
The new shopping destination FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE at the Theresienwiese in Munich has 90 shop concepts on three levels and 25.000 square meters of space. The FORUM SCHWANTHALERHÖHE offers a modern mix of fashion, technology, sports, food, gastronomy and services. The interior design builds a bridge between the namesake Ludwig von Schwanthaler, art and the Munich way of life. The newly designed shopping center - consisting of an innovatively converted building core and spatial-aesthetic, extensive additions - was developed and realized by the HBB Hanseatic Care and Investment Company from Hamburg. The company invested 240 million euros in the construction. The modernized underground car park, open 24 hours a day, provides over 1.000 additional parking spaces in the Wiesn district.
