Opening of Forum Schwanthalerhöhe postponed

The opening of the new Forum Schwanthalerhöhe shopping district in Munich, which was planned for next week, has to be postponed. The test runs of the technical security equipment carried out at the end of last week and the expert meeting held on Monday, March 11, 2019, completely unexpectedly revealed various malfunctions in the installed technology.

After consultation with the experts involved, these defects cannot be remedied by the planned official acceptance date next Wednesday, March 13th. It is therefore necessary to give the specialists of the commissioned general contractor ZÜBLIN sufficient time to remedy the defects and provide the required expert acceptances. Unfortunately, this also leads to the cancellation of the opening of the Forum Schwanthalerhöhe shopping district. A new opening date will be communicated as soon as possible with the general contractor ZÜBLIN and with the responsible experts after the defects and their processing timetables have been clarified.

“We very much regret this development, but ask for your understanding that we cannot make any compromises when it comes to security issues,” explains Harald Ortner, Managing Director of HBB.
