For the first time, four associations invited people to the 2024 Retail Real Estate Congress in Berlin. The German Retail Association eV, GCSP German Council of Shopping Places, EHI Retail Institute and ZIA were the hosts.

The HBB was also on site with a team on both days.

The program was varied and included a variety of interesting lectures, discussions and productive conversations during the breaks and the evening event.

We were also actively involved on the podium.

In his lecture entitled “Repurposing large-scale commercial properties” and the subsequent discussion on the topic of “Mixed-use property meets reality”, Harald Ortner clearly explained which prerequisites must be met in order for properties to be successfully (re)positioned, how important a precise analysis is and what (current) challenges there are.

Our Heiner Hutmacher Together with Laura Bäumchen from Thermosphr, using the example of our FORUM Schwanthalerhöhe, we demonstrated how one can “achieve ESG and save costs at the same time”.
