HBB sells component A of the Husemann Karree in Bochum to LHI - more tenants open
The HBB Hanseatische Betreuungs- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has successfully sold component A of the Husemann Karree in Bochum to the LHI Group in Pullach near Munich. The mixed-use property in the heart of the city of Bochum is divided into three components and combines shopping, gastronomy, hotel, fitness, offices and services on around 37.500 square meters of rental space. "The purchase of component A in the Husemann Karree fits perfectly into our investment strategy for our institutional investors. The sustainable quarter offers a secure investment with different uses and a high level of income security. We are delighted to be able to support the city of Bochum in the renewal of the city center," says Joachim Eisele, Head of Real Estate Transaction Management at LHI Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH. Component A in the mixed-use business district was completed in October of last year. The food retailer Rewe Mert and the department store chain Woolworth have been welcoming their customers since then, and the EASYFITNESS fitness studio has also been open on two floors since March. The city of Bochum is currently moving into 15.000 square meters of office space on the upper floors, which will soon be open to the public. A hairdressing salon and a nail studio will also be opening in the next few weeks. Component A is complemented by the new two-story underground car park with around 500 parking spaces, which is connected to the underground car park P1 under Husemannplatz to the city of Bochum's underground car park network. In addition, 400 bicycle parking spaces are available to all tenants. "The sale of component A of the Husemann Karree shows that we can be successful as developers even in difficult times. Components B and C are also close to completion. We are proud that with the new business quarter we have also implemented an important building block for the "Inner City 2030" concept in Bochum," says Harald Ortner, Managing Director of HBB Holding. The law firm Otting Zinger Rechtsanwälte PartG mbB Hanau advised HBB, while Noerr Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater Wirtschaftsprüfer München and Drees & Sommer acted as consultants for LHI. The transaction was brokered by CBRE GmbH Berlin. The details of the real estate transaction were not disclosed.
