HBB with Forum Schwanthalerhöhe nominated for Real Estate Manager Awards 2020
The jury has decided: The shortlists with the nominees for the Real Estate Manager Award 2020 have been finalized. HBB is nominated in the category: “Existing Project Development” with the Forum Schwanthalerhöhe.
In total, the award recognizes outstanding projects, companies, services and individuals in the real estate industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 14 categories. The awards ceremony will take place as part of a gala evening on February 27, 2020 at Dock.One in Cologne.
The project: From a former furniture store to a lively shopping district
The project site, formerly used by the furniture store XXXLutz, is located directly on the Theresienwiese and thus in an outstanding inner-city location in Munich. HBB acquired the property and planned to convert it into a shopping district tailored to the location. A district center with around 40.000 shops for retail and catering as well as public uses has been created on a total of around 90 m² of rental space, together with the Bayerische Hausbau site. The entire property was restructured for this purpose: shorter routes, new livable green spaces and better lighting make the district easier to navigate and make the area more attractive.
