Retirement home

Bayreuth, May 2019: The Hamburg-based HBB group of companies is building the DOMICIL senior care home in the Kreuz district on Preuschwitzer Strasse on behalf of and on behalf of Scheck Zweite Grundbesitz KG. The construction work was awarded to an efficient construction company. The contracted company, Riedel Bau GmbH & Co. KG from Schweinfurt, began construction work in March 2019. The opening of the home is planned for the third quarter of 2020.

The new building with a gross floor area of around 8.883 m² is being built not far from the Mistelbach in the Kreuz district. The new senior citizen property will then offer 168 care places for its future residents. The construction project was planned by the Berlin-based architectural firm Broll & Förster, which specializes in care properties. Clear shapes and plenty of daylight are the main features of the four-story building, which is being built in an L-shape with the high-quality garden facing Rabensteinstrasse. The attractive architecture impresses with its cubic design with many white plaster surfaces and clinker element accents on the ground floor. The bright and friendly-looking building is intended to blend harmoniously into its surroundings.

The house follows the DOMICIL motto "In the middle of life". The opportunity for senior citizens to participate in the attractive urban environment is of great importance to DOMICIL. The size of the rooms significantly exceeds the requirements of the minimum building regulations for residential homes and allows for individual design by the residents, who can also bring their own furniture if they wish. Thanks to its own kitchen and laundry, the residents and staff are provided for in the house. Like all DOMICIL houses, the house on Preuschwitzer Strasse in Bayreuth also has a lovingly landscaped, in-house garden with selected plants that invites you to take a walk or linger. "The residents should be given a feeling of security combined with the greatest possible safety," says Oliver Radünz, Managing Director of the HBB Group, which was commissioned to implement the project.

The cooperation with the city of Bayreuth in obtaining planning permission and building permits was good, constructive and productive, Radünz continued.

The investment volume for the new nursing home is around 25,0 million euros. Around 60 to 80 new jobs will be created permanently.
