Heifeskamp Mülheim retail park

One center for two needs
The "city on the river", as Mülheim an der Ruhr calls itself, lies between the Ruhr area's major centers of Essen and Duisburg. The medium-sized center is characterized by an above-average proportion of green and forest areas, making it an attractive place to live. A new district center was required to serve the Dümpten district, but one that should also serve as a retail center. HBB took action on a former site for the city's vehicle fleet.
Short distances for visitors
Together with local investors Hoffmeister and Scheibel, construction began on Heifeskamp based on a design by the Düsseldorf-based firm RKW Architektur + Städtebau. Just one year after the groundbreaking ceremony, the new, partially two-story center with a gross floor area of around 27.11.2008 m² opened on November 20.500, 540. Its timeless, linear architecture makes it easier for visitors to find their way around, also thanks to colorful elements in the corporate colors of the respective tenants, from real,- to Intersport. There are a total of around XNUMX parking spaces, some of which are on the roofs of the specialty store, and some on the ground floor under the self-service department store at the same level as the shops located there. This means that despite the size of the center, there are no long walks.
