A City in Transition
One of several senior care homes that HBB has built in central Germany was built in the Brothers Grimm town of Hanau. Here too, great attention was paid to the choice of location: the senior care home Am Schlossgarten is located in a sought-after residential area, right next to the beautiful castle gardens and within a very short distance of the city's pedestrian zone with its numerous shops.
In harmony with the neighborhood
The groundbreaking ceremony took place in January 2010, and the topping-out ceremony was held in September. A high-quality new building with the latest facilities suitable for seniors has been built on the former site of a brownfield site, but still fits in well with the turn-of-the-century neighborhood. A spacious garden with a water feature, an exclusive ballroom and a separate department for people with dementia are other key points of the project. Energy efficiency is also a top priority here: the building with its own CHP plant meets the high requirements of the KfW Standard 70. Living space for 9.600 residents has been created on a gross floor area of 163 m², and the region is gaining 80 new jobs.
