Fachmarktzentrum Mannheim

Ideal connection

The Mannheim district of Käfertal is located in the north-east of Baden-Württemberg's second-largest city. Bordering the Käfertal Forest, the old industrial site is now primarily characterized by a US Army base. One of the main traffic axes is the B38, which runs through the district to the center of Mannheim. In 2004, HBB built a new, ideally connected retail park with a gross floor area of around 16.000 m² on the main street, which is called Friedrich-Ebert-Straße here.

Widely visible sign

The six green pillars of the Marktkauf logo shine out at visitors from afar, rising above the area like a landmark. Adolf Scheck, the chairman of the supervisory board of EDEKA, operates a check-in center here as the anchor tenant. A large number of other tenants, from the dm drugstore to Takko and Aldi, add further shopping options - again supplemented by service providers such as hairdressers, parcel shops and tanning salons. The colored markings along the facades make the diverse range of offers visible from the approximately 570 parking spaces. This center with short distances offers one-stop shopping in its purest form.
