Geschäftszentrum Oelde
Important stimulus for the city center
The town, which has around 30.000 inhabitants and is located in the East Westphalian district of Warendorf, needed an attractive addition and upgrade to its town centre. For years, the department store at the southern end of Oelde's pedestrian zone stood empty. With the help of HBB, the area has now become a clear signal for further development: a new business centre with two buildings has been built. The two-part complex consists of a commercial building with tenants such as C&A, Rossmann and Ernstings Family, and a modern Netto discount store directly on the local thoroughfare Konrad-Adenauer-Allee.
Attractive end to the pedestrian zone
The two-storey building on Vicarieplatz, the southern end of the pedestrian zone, is characterised by an alternation of plaster, clinker and glass facade elements. The planned use of the forecourt for gastronomy will provide additional revitalisation of the city centre. In total, around 3.500 square metres of rental space was created on the approximately 4.000 square metre plot, of which around 3.000 square metres was for the commercial building and a good 1.000 square metres was for the local supplier. In addition, HBB built around 70 public parking spaces at ground level.
