Quiet location in the Wilhelminian quarter

The second senior care home and the ninth in Berlin overall has already been built in the bourgeois and green Berlin district of Steglitz. After the opening of the house on Altmarkstrasse in 2008, HBB has now built another, equally attractive new home for 121 residents on the corner of Lauenburger Strasse and Feuerbachstrasse. The V-shaped building was built on a plot of around 2.000 m² and forms an inner courtyard with a garden. The residents enjoy the proximity to Schlossstrasse, which is one of the largest shopping streets in the south of Berlin.

Classic shape in modern design

Built by the construction company WOLFF & MÜLLER and designed by the Berlin architects Broll-Förster, the house was given a classically designed facade with large windows. Thanks to the suggested gable roof, dormers and terraces, the house fits well into the architectural style of the district. In addition, characteristic details such as stucco or clinker bricks on the outside give it a high recognition value. In addition to living comfort, great importance is also attached to energy efficiency: thanks to modern building technology and insulation, the building uses around 30 percent less energy than a comparable new building and is therefore a KfW Efficiency House 70.
