The Leopoldina Hospital in Schweinfurt is a modern specialist hospital with an excellent reputation throughout Lower Franconia. It is also an academic teaching hospital of the University of Würzburg and one of the largest employers in the region. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city on the edge of the Kiliansberg residential area and above the Main valley. From here there is a wide view of the city and the Steigerwald. In this exquisite location, there is a section of the former hospital site that was built with two nurses' residences and was ready for new use after their demolition. In close coordination with the hospital, the city of Schweinfurt and the municipal housing company SWG, as well as an open dialogue process with the neighbors, the HBB is building the city's second senior care home here. The residents benefit from the attractive surroundings, the proximity to the old town and also from the intended close cooperation with the hospital.

The project also includes the renovation of a listed villa on the property.
