The Kirchhofallee II senior care home was built just a few meters from the first building and therefore enjoys all the location advantages of the parent building - from the lively living environment with a quiet inner courtyard to the attractive city location. Due to the great need for high-quality care places in the region and the success of the Kirchhofallee I senior care home, this new building was given priority over the originally planned residential building.

Joint logistics, great efficiency

Here, too, modern clinker architecture was used to underline the identity and togetherness of the two buildings. Both use the same efficient logistics system, which is largely underground after complex planning and serves the 370 residents in total. The main focus of Kirchhofallee II is on patients in a vegetative state and dementia. Close cooperation with the University of Kiel has been established. In 2006, just one year after its opening, the building was awarded first prize by the Schleswig-Holstein State Nursing Committee for its exemplary concept in elderly care.
