Geschäftshaus Zuckerfabrik Lehrte
Sugar factory project continues to grow
A prime example of the long-term, successful development of a former industrial site: In 2005, HBB had already acquired the shopping centre Zuckerfabrik Lehrte opened, which covers part of the 200.000 m2 large abandoned site belonging to Nordzucker AG. In addition to various other uses, a business, service and leisure complex was created here with anchor tenants EDEKA, Expert and the dm chain with a total volume of around 20.000 m² gross floor area. In this way, HBB contributed to the successful transformation of Lehrter city center. The fact that HBB's commitment is not just short-term is demonstrated by the continuous development over the last few years - which is now being continued with a new commercial building.
revitalization of the city center
To close the gap between the main shopping street Burgdorfer Straße and the new HBB shopping center, a two-storey commercial building with an attractive facade has been built on the still vacant plot of land in the newly created pedestrian zone. On the approximately 3.200 m2 large property contains rental space of around 3.000 m2, which are rented to C&A, Rossmann, Deichmann and Ernstings family.
