EDEKA-Markt Idstein/Taunus

inspiration with style

The new branch of EDEKA entrepreneur Uwe Georg in Idstein in Taunus is often described as a showcase store. In an ideal location for transport, on the B275 bypass and in the immediate vicinity of the A3, HBB has built a modern fresh food center for the merchant of Edeka Handelsgesellschaft Südwest. The store benefits from its connections and proximity to companies such as Motorola and Jack Wolfskin, whose employees also frequent the store's restaurants. The restaurant attached to the fresh fish area has 70 seats. The store, which opened at the end of 2009, is thus a driving force for the new commercial area.

Architectural accent

The building, with a gross floor area of around 5.125 m², houses a market in the most modern shop design aesthetic with a sales area of 3.400 m². A highlight is the wine shop with 1.300 wines, which is connected to a stylish cheese counter. Around 60 employees find attractive and contemporary workplaces in the building, from the fresh food counter to administration. There are 280 ground-level parking spaces right outside the door. On the street side, the building sets an exciting architectural accent to the bypass road with a glazed circular structure.
