Forum Hitzbleck Heiligenhaus
The project on the site of the former Hitzbleck metal works was implemented in just a few years, from the initial project idea to the opening. The investment volume, including tenant improvements, was 40 million euros. Mr. Steindl from HBB thanked everyone involved in the construction of the complex building project: "I am very pleased that we were able to implement the project so quickly. This was only possible because the city of Heiligenhaus made such a quick decision and we worked so well with the administration. All of the companies involved in the construction, the Moß and Bauwens companies and all of the tradesmen, did a great job under difficult conditions."
The local supply center, which is operated by HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG managed, offers an attractive and diverse range of daily needs on over 9.000 square meters of rental space and with 260 free and ground-level parking spaces.
The full-range retailer Akzenta under the umbrella of Rewe Dortmund and the discounter Lidl are looking forward to being able to offer customers in the city center a first-class range of food products again. The two markets are complemented by the drugstore dm and a large Asian restaurant, which will not open until autumn 2021 due to corona. Another store on Westfalenallee will soon bring additional life to the location.
For Mayor Michael Beck, the Forum Hitzbleck is a real asset for the business center: "We are very pleased about the opening of the new location, which is so important for the future development of the city center. The city has made great efforts in recent years to make the city center more attractive. The Forum Hitzbleck is an important building block for this. We are happy that the project was implemented so quickly despite the pandemic."
