Baumarkt Zuckerfabrik Lehrte
continuation of a successful model
In 2005, HBB opened a modern shopping center that expanded the city center of Lehrte near Hanover to the site of the former sugar factory. This shopping center was part of an overall urban development project in cooperation with Nordzucker AG. The abandoned industrial site with an area of almost 200.000 square meters was sensitively and comprehensively revitalized. In this context, Lehrte's city park was also expanded to an area of around 8.000 square meters.
harmonious addition
On the construction site adjacent to the city park, HBB built a hardware store with tenant Obi, which fills this existing gap in the city's supply. Here on Germaniastrasse, it is not only easily accessible within the central supply area, but also fits harmoniously into the surroundings. The hardware store within the business park was built on a plot of around 30.000 square meters and has a rental area of around 9.000 square meters. Its own 250 parking spaces ensure short distances and the safe transport of all purchases.
