SB-Warenhaus Ludwigshafen

The city's desired tenant realized
In the west of the city of Ludwigshafen lies the district of Oggersheim, whose western border is the federal highway 9. Only one commercial area lies beyond the traffic artery, which was significantly called "Westlich B9" for a long time before being renamed "Einkaufspark Oggersheim" in 2007. In order to regain purchasing power, a new department store was to be established here - and the city of Ludwigshafen chose HBB as a partner.
Smooth processing
The chemistry between those involved was right from the start, as the HBB was praised for. Only two years passed from the first constructive and trusting conversation through the approval process to the realization. In just eight months of construction, a Globus hypermarket was built on a 51.000 m² site and opened in November 2005. Here, on a total gross floor area of around 17.000 m², there are spacious sales areas for Globus, and there are also service providers and restaurants along a main road illuminated with natural light. The immense number of around 845 parking spaces guarantees comfortable access - of course via the B9.
