Quiet life in Reinickendorf

Reinickendorf, secondly: Due to the high demand and the success of the award-winning house on Thaterstrasse, which opened in 2006, the HBB is planning the next senior care home in Reinickendorf to the east of Residenzstrasse. The 4.173 m² plot is located on the corner of Amendestrasse and Herbststrasse in the middle of an established residential area, which is dominated by apartment buildings and tree-lined residential streets. The planned building is to have a gross floor area above ground of around 9.000 m² and offer a total of around 171 care places. In keeping with the operator's motto "In the middle of life", the future residents will be housed in a functioning urban environment with all the important infrastructure facilities. They will benefit from a quiet location, but will have Residenzstrasse, the main shopping street, within easy reach.

Modern in comfort and appearance

Planned by the Berlin-based architectural firm Broll▪Förster, which specializes in senior housing, the building impresses with its unobtrusive, modern design language. The fifth floor facing Amendestrasse is designed as a penthouse, creating spacious, wraparound roof terrace areas. Inside, contemporary rooms ensure a high quality of stay. They are modernly equipped, have bathrooms suitable for seniors and the latest security and emergency call systems.

Thanks to the successful activities in Reinickendorf to date, HBB was able to coordinate the project quickly and constructively with the district administration and politicians. Overall, HBB is creating 80-100 new jobs with this new senior care home. The home is now completed and open.
