Rhine meadows within reach
Mundenheimer Strasse is located south of Ludwigshafen's city center and just a few hundred meters from the Rhine meadows. From here, residents of the new senior care home can reach the green nature on the river bank on foot or by bus - but there are also a variety of retailers within easy reach. The new building was built on the former site of a car dealership and, with its high-quality facade, not only enhances its surroundings, but above all offers an attractive home for up to 147 people.
Highest standards are a matter of course
The house, with a gross floor area of 8.400 m², was designed by the renowned Berlin-based architectural firm Broll-Förster on behalf of the HBB. It is based on the highest structural and ecological aspects and thus meets the KfW 70 standard. Inside, 85 percent of the rooms for its new residents are single rooms. All have their own bathroom and a state-of-the-art emergency call system. With a size of 18 m² to 37 m², they clearly exceed the minimum building requirements for residential homes and allow residents to design them individually. The house also has a large ballroom for a variety of events, an in-house garden to relax in and its own kitchen and laundry.
The HBB Hanseatic Society for Senior Citizens’ Homes mbH & Co. KG is creating more than 80 new jobs in the region.
