Just a few kilometers from the Dutch border lies Stadtlohn, which has around 21.000 inhabitants and belongs to the Borken district. As a traditional industrial location in the economically strong Münsterland region, the city is home to textile processing companies such as Hecking & Söhne and Nobilis, as well as metal construction. The furniture manufacturer Hülsta also has its headquarters here and is one of the city's largest employers. The HBB built a local supply center here to supply the city center.
integration of existing buildings
Centrally located, a new supermarket for the EDEKA Handelsgesellschaft Rhein-Ruhr was built using municipal parking spaces. At the request of the city, it not only had ground-level parking spaces, but was also equipped with a parking deck. This extensive range of parking spaces relieves the pressure on the parking spaces in the city center. In addition to the new building, an empty passage was converted after a discount store moved out and integrated into the center, creating an important link to the city center through the shops. There is now space here for two specialist stores from the Takko and Deichmann chains as well as additional shops. The entire property is within walking distance of the main shopping street.
