Remsgalerie Schwäbisch-Gmünd
new development from a single source
Schwäbisch-Gmünd is a city on the move. Selected as the location for the 2014 State Garden Show, various parts of the city center are currently being developed. An investor competition was announced to redesign the northwestern old town. Together with the project developer SEPA from Stuttgart, HBB was able to win the Europe-wide tender.
In the part of the project implemented by HBB, the Ledergasse development area, a modern shopping center was developed on the site of a former Horten department store, the Engel brewery and other adjacent areas. The center, with around 7.500 m² of retail space, has a high-quality full-range retailer as anchor tenants, as well as other attractive retailers such as C&A, Kult and Woolworth. This has revitalized Ledergasse and the adjacent pedestrian zone and increased its attractiveness. A bright and customer-friendly parking garage with around 170 parking spaces ensures convenient access.
