Living where Berlin is green
Wannsee is probably one of the capital's most famous leisure oases. Much less well-known and smaller, but just as beautiful, is Schlachtensee, which lies just before it in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. Zehlendorf is generally an attractive, particularly green district. Wide avenues with spacious, historical architecture and quiet streets make the area around Mexikoplatz a very good residential area with a high proportion of villas. Here, on Fürstenstrasse, just a few hundred meters from Mexikoplatz with its cafés, pastry shops and stores, is the fifth senior care home in the district. Here too, residents enjoy being part of a lively, existing residential area, combined with plenty of space and even more greenery.
Particularly generous
The corner plot, which was formerly a nursery, has the impressive size of almost 12.500 m2. There is space here for a lovingly designed, park-like garden with a large ballroom terrace. On the street side there is a spacious driveway and a dense strip of woodland on Bülowstrasse to the north. The building itself has two full floors and a converted attic with typical local dormer windows. The architecture is historicizing and fits harmoniously into the surroundings. Inside, the house offers space for 138 residents and of course all modern amenities, such as a modern cafeteria, which is of course also available to the neighborhood. We developed the development plan for this senior care home in close coordination and cooperation with the responsible Steglitz-Zehlendorf district office.
