Seniorenpflegeheim Hamburg-Billstedt

A quiet neighborhood
The district of Billstedt is located on the eastern edge of Hamburg, between the Boberger Niederung nature reserve and the green areas around Lake Öjendorf. Its streets are characterized by apartment buildings and single-family homes and lots of greenery. A residential district that has the necessary infrastructure for everyday needs. Here, HBB built a senior care home on Kapellenstrasse, its third in the Hanseatic city. The architecture is classic, the construction standard high. With this project, too, the company is following its own motto "In the middle of life". After all, the residents here are not only well looked after and housed close to the district center, but also ideally connected - with a bus line and a subway connection directly on their street.
Living and care at a high level
At about 9.200 m2 The house offers a total of 148 modern care places. The rooms are all equipped with a senior-friendly, barrier-free bathroom and their size of 18 m² to 37 m² significantly exceeds the minimum building regulations for residential homes. They are also equipped with the latest security devices and emergency call systems. An important meeting point on the ground floor of the house is the large ballroom, whose conservatory-like glazing allows a beautiful view of the elaborately designed garden with water feature. The hall is also a meeting point for people from the neighborhood at various events.
The care services include full-time, light to severe care at all levels of care, as well as short-term care. There is also a special care area for people with dementia. A special feature is the so-called "Snoezel room", a therapeutic "well-being room" in which the residents' senses are stimulated and encouraged by visual and acoustic stimuli, but also by smells or tactile experiences. The project created over 80 permanent jobs and was opened in November 2017.
