In the city and close to the water
Life on the river: Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia is shaped by the Main, which runs along the city center and offers relaxation with its green promenade. Just a few hundred meters away is the residential area between Theresienstraße and Luitpoldstraße. On the approximately 4.000 m2 HBB is building a senior care home on the large wasteland of a former car dealership. In doing so, it combines an established residential environment with the aim of creating senior housing "in the middle of life". All of the important inner-city infrastructure is within walking distance, including the Stadtgalerie shopping center on the banks of the Main.
Pleasant retreats – inside and out
The four-storey building with a converted attic, with its gable roof characterized by dormers, fits harmoniously into the neighborhood of Theresienstraße and enriches it. An additional building block extends into the interior of the block. In total, the home is designed for 152 senior citizens, who will find a new home in 110 single and 21 double rooms. All rooms are bright and spacious and have their own bathrooms suitable for senior citizens. They are also equipped with modern security and emergency call systems. The house has its own kitchen and laundry as well as an adjoining garden, which not only offers the residents a pleasant retreat with its plants and allows them to experience the seasons, but also represents an improvement in the living environment for the neighborhood.
