First project in Munich: HBB is expanding its sphere of influence and is setting up a senior citizens' project in the Bavarian capital. Its location offers the best conditions, in line with the motto "In the middle of life": In the trendy district of Schwabing, a former barracks site will be developed into a completely new residential quarter by the end of 2016. The development of the quarter is now largely complete. The area is called "Am Ackermannbogen" and lies between the Wilhelminian center of Schwabing and the green Olympiaberg. The approximately 6.500 m2 large building plot. This will enable future residents to live in a functioning urban environment with the appropriate infrastructure - quiet, close to nature and yet in the middle of the district.
Innovative concept, closely coordinated
The HBB won a tender for this property from the state capital of Munich. The new senior care home will soon be able to offer around 119 inpatient care places as well as day care. In addition, two night care places and 20 residential units for assisted living are to be created as subsidized housing in a concept test with the Munich Social Services Department. The care concept and the construction concept were coordinated very closely and constructively with the city administration.
The planning is being carried out by long-standing partners, the Berlin-based architectural firm Broll▪Förster, which specializes in senior housing, and the renowned Düsseldorf-based firm RKW. The result will be a modern house with all modern amenities. The laying of the foundation stone at Ackermannbogen took place at the end of June 2015.
