Rathaus Galerie Essen: Three new tenants for the Real space
On a 7.000 m² area previously used by Real Rathaus Galerie Essen REWE, Rusta and Woolworth will open their doors in the future. The demolition of the former Real area has already been completed, and the conversion work on the areas for the new tenants has begun. The entire area is being restructured, and the mall is being extended and designed to match the design of the new Rathaus Galerie.
The food retailer REWE will offer its product range tailored to the location on around 2.000 m², thereby creating a diverse range of local supplies for customers in Essen city center. The Swedish retail company Rusta will bring a piece of Sweden to the Ruhr area on around 2.000 m². The company will offer items from the areas of living, gardening and DIY to household and beauty in its stores. Finally, the department store chain Woolworth will offer its products on around 2.200 m². The range includes the product groups clothing, decorative and household items as well as drugstore, electrical, gift and stationery.
The Rathaus Galerie is currently undergoing a comprehensive restructuring and repositioning. HBB is revitalizing the center in Essen's city center in a joint venture with Henderson Park. The focus is on a new design with a local feel and meeting point character. The result is a harmonious mix of local amenities, shopping, entertainment and gastronomy.
The center is to once again become a magnet for customers from Essen and the surrounding area. The newly opened food court and the new architectural concept are the key elements of the revitalization. The mix of industries and tenants tailored to the Essen location is also a cornerstone of the new Rathaus Galerie. The three new tenants are important building blocks for this.
