Essen, November 10th 2022 – The Dutch department store chain HEMA is opening up a new branch in Rathaus Galerie Essen. The Shopping Centre is located in a prominent location in Essen’s city centre. „HEMA has been present in Essen since 2002 and is now moving into our Center with a new, more compact store with an updated contemporary look,“ so Frederik Westhoff, Centre Manager Essen at HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co KG.

The opening of the new store is planned for January 2023.

The Dutch department store chain De Bijenkorf founded the brand HEMA in 1926. The first store was established on Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat – the busiest shopping street in the Netherlands.
